Fall baseball is a highly instructional season aimed at getting players acclimated to the rules of the upcoming Spring season. Players will participate in the age group that they will play in during the next Spring season, NOT the previous Spring season.

For 2018, 10U and 12U baseball programs will be combined across Dormont, Green Tree and Castle Shannon to form "Keystone Oaks" teams. Here are a few common questions and answers for this structure.

Why are you combining?
Typically the Fall season has lower participation, therefore each community does not have enough kids to support a single team. By combining, the kids at this age group can form teams that introduce them to kids around the community that they will eventually go to school with.

Where are games and practices?
Games and practices will be rotated between Municipal Field (Castle Shannon), Hemlock Field (Green Tree) and Pop Murray Field (Dormont). Depending on the makeup of each team, games and practices may slant toward that home field. For example, out of 12 players on the team, if 8 are from Dormont, you can expect that there will be more games and pracitces at Pop Murray Field than at the other community fields.

How do you determine which kids to go which teams?
All players for each age group are rated based on their overall skill on a scale of 1-5. The names of the kids rated "1" are placed into a brown paper bag also labeled "1" and then names are pulled blindly from a bag. The same is done for the rest of the rating numbers (2-5). This creates the most evenly skilled teams and breaks up the kids among communities in the fairest way possible.

Can special requests be made due to rides or location?
No. In order to create teams and are fair for all the kids, we cannot accomodate special requests.

Where should I register?
Register in the community in which you reside. If you live in Dormont, register online on this Website. If you live in Green Tree or Castle Shannon, you should register with their programs. After registration is closed across communities,we will revirew the collective registrations and meet to select teams in the way outlined above.
